Historic Requa Inn

Driving north on Highway 101 through Klamath, in the distance you can see the big white building that is the Historic Requa Inn (pronounced RECK-wah). It’s across the Klamath River on Requa Hill, and it stands out in the landscape because it is the only remaining commercial building in the once-bustling fishing town of Requa, now a quiet residential area. Constructed in 1914, the building is plain, almost utilitarian, built for rustic comfort rather than Victorian stylishness.

North of Eureka approximately one hour, and thirty minutes below Crescent City, this romantic getaway is nestled amongst the majestic redwoods and bordered by the Klamath River, at the end of Highway 169. Ocean beaches, hiking trails and wildlife are abundant.
